About this tool
Revenue = units × price. Gross profit = revenue − variable costs. Profit before tax = gross profit − fixed costs. The profit margin is profit before tax ÷ revenue.
The tax figure uses one flat rate on a positive profit; real business tax depends on allowances, deductions and your country. These are estimates for planning and are not accounting, tax or legal advice.

Common questions
Is revenue the same as profit?
No. Revenue is everything you sell for. Profit is what is left after costs.
