How to use Merge PDF
- Click the box (or drag your PDF files onto it) to add the files you want to combine. You can add files more than once.
- Use the up and down arrows next to each file to put them in the order you want. Remove any file you added by mistake.
- Press Merge PDFs. When it is finished, press Download merged PDF.
About this tool
Merging PDFs is useful for sending one tidy document instead of many: combining scanned pages, adding a cover page to a report, or joining an invoice with its supporting documents.
The merge copies the pages of each PDF into a new document, in the order you chose. Page content, images and text are kept as they are. Bookmarks, form fields and links that point to other pages can be lost or stop working in the merged file, because they belong to the original documents.
Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. Remove the password first. Files are limited to 100 MB each and 25 files at a time so that your browser does not run out of memory.
Privacy: This tool runs in your browser. What you type or choose is not sent to a server by this website.
Common questions
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The files are read and merged inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server by this tool.
Why was my PDF rejected?
The most common reasons are that it is password-protected, it is damaged, or the file is not really a PDF. The error message names the file and the reason.
Will the quality change?
No. Pages are copied without re-compressing images or text.
Can I merge a few pages from each file?
Use the Split PDF tool first to extract the pages you need, then merge the results.
