About this tool
Text sometimes arrives in the wrong case: a heading typed with Caps Lock on, a list copied from a spreadsheet, or a title that needs the right capital letters. Retyping it by hand is slow and easy to get wrong.
Title Case capitalises the main words and keeps short words such as “and”, “of” and “the” in lowercase unless they begin a sentence. Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and the word “I”. Both tools first change everything to lowercase, so names and acronyms (for example “NASA” or “iPhone”) need to be corrected by hand afterwards. The rules follow common English style, so other languages may need small manual fixes.
Remove Extra Spaces turns repeated spaces and tabs into a single space and removes spaces at the start and end of each line.

Common questions
What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?
Title Case capitalises most words, as in a book title (“The Story of a Small Town”). Sentence case only capitalises the first word of each sentence, as in normal writing (“The story of a small town”).
Why did a name or acronym lose its capital letters?
Title Case and Sentence case first make all letters lowercase. Please correct names and acronyms by hand afterwards.
